Our History

Gold Hill Auto Parts is a family-owned business, serving as a bumper-to-bumper supplier and boasting a legacy spanning three generations of car enthusiasts. It all began in Lombard, Illinois, in the late 50s as Dunks Auto Repair, owned by Richard Dunk Sr. In the 80s, my grandfather relocated to southern Illinois and established Gold Hill Auto Supply as an all-pro supplier. Due to health reasons, my grandfather eventually sold the business, and the rest is history. Fast forward to 2021, where I, Michael Dunk, acquired Millikans Auto Parts, conveniently located just one block from my grandfather’s original establishment. Interestingly, the previous owner of Millikans Auto Parts was the individual who had purchased my grandfather’s business back in the 80s. This unique story comes full circle as, some 40 years later, I still come across old inventory from my grandpa’s store within mine. We even proudly display the original sign that once hung by the roadside for Gold Hill Auto Supply.
